What day would I need to arrive?
It is advised that participants arrive into Hamilton, New Zealand on Sunday July 5th 2020. The participant will have a night to get ready for the camp which will start on Monday 6th July. For those flying in, Auckland Airport is the largest international airport in New Zealand and is just 1 hour 30min drive away from Hamilton.
What does my investment cover?
- Traditional Māori welcome onto Chiefs territory
- Chiefs training gear for the week (not including footwear, boots, socks)
- Accommodation and meals
- Initial gym testing by Chiefs S&C Resource Coaches
- Individual Performance Plans and action plan documents provided to players on completion of programme
- Personalised positional training programmes and sessions
- Unit training programmes and sessions
- Chiefs culture sessions including Haka practice

What does the schedule look like?

- Day 1. July 5 Arrive in Hamilton
- Days 2-6. July 6-10 Camp
- Day 7. July 11 Game Scenarios
- Day 8. July 12 NZ experience, recovery, Individual performance plans/reviews
- Day 9. Depart Hamilton
Will I get return transport from Auckland airport?
Yes- A Chiefs Rugby Club staff member will be there to pick up the player and will drop at their accommodation. Upon completion of the camp, the player will then also be transported back to Auckland airport by Chiefs Rugby Club staff.
Will there be an adult to chaperone my son?
Yes- there will be a NZ Police vetted individual allocated to look after your son at their accommodation. There will be times where your son will have free time to explore parts of Hamilton.
Will there be any free time?
The camp will be busy with trainings and learning, but there will be time in the evenings to relax. The last two days will give your son an opportunity to have some free time also.
